Why I Chose to Build a Slow Fashion Brand in Europe
In a world full of fast trends, mass production, and disposable fashion, I chose a different path. I chose craftsmanship, quality, and meaning.
My name is Radka Sillerova, and I’m the founder of a slow fashion brand based in the heart of Europe – in my artisan atelier in Prague. Each product we create – whether it’s a handmade leather backpack, an elegant leather briefcase for women, or a crossbody leather bag – carries timeless design, personal values, and a deep respect for tradition.
✨ The Beginning: A Love for Leather and Honest Work
Since 2015, when I began working with premium leather, I’ve been enchanted by its strength, texture, scent, and the graceful way it ages. I knew I didn’t want to follow fast fashion – I wanted to build something personal, long-lasting, and soulful.
Luxury, to me, comes from authentic materials, handwork, and emotional connection. That’s why I created a line of artisan leather bags and sustainable leather accessories that are made slowly, with intention and love.
🌍 Why Europe? Because Values Matter
Europe is home to centuries of italian leather craftsmanship and deep-rooted artisan traditions. I personally travel to Italy to select each leather hide. And everything – from design to stitching – is done by hand in our Prague studio.
By keeping production local, we support sustainable fashion in Europe, reduce our environmental impact, and ensure fair and meaningful work for every hand involved.
