My Story — A Journey of Color, Courage & Craft

In a recent interview with N&N Magazine, I had the chance to open my heart and share how it all began — how one colorful idea turned into a collection of handcrafted leather backpacks and accessories that now travel the world.

✨ How It All Started

My journey with Radka truly began in 2005, when I moved from the Czech Republic to Nürnberg with my kids. I was looking for a stylish, practical backpack — something I could wear on my bike, in the city, something joyful. But all I found were boring black or brown ones. Nothing full of life.
So I thought: Why not make my own?

Then came a tough phase: a sudden breakup, job loss… and yet, something in me said: Start again. But do it with heart.
In January 2015, I created my first prototype. I searched for the right suppliers, found amazing seamstresses, and step by step… on July 1st, 2015, Radka Fashion was born.

🌍 Bags That Travel the World with Me

Since then, my backpacks have been more than just bags. They’re companions. They’ve walked with me through fashion weeks, exhibitions, interviews—even one with Charlie Sheen in LA!
And now? My pieces are sold in boutiques across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Every bag tells a story. About freedom, movement, beauty. About me.

🧘♀️ Slower Days, Deeper Moments

Like many creatives, I’ve felt the wild waves of change.
When the world slowed down during lockdown, my online shop got more visitors—though sales didn’t always follow.
But strangely, that time was a gift.
I finally rested. Slept. Breathed. Ran through the woods, biked by the lake, took long walks and just was.

I even cancelled my TV in April 2020 — and you know what? I haven’t missed it since.

Those quieter days helped me hear myself again. To remember what truly matters. I took online courses, upgraded my website thanks to a state grant, invested in better machines for my studio.
And I dove deeper into my personal passion: energy, harmony, space. I started working with German geobiologist Ludwig Schürger — learning more about dowsing, geopathy zones, and feng shui.

💛 What Brings Me Joy Now?

Slowing down.
Having more time for family, creativity, and sport.
No more rushing from one city to another. Just peaceful mornings, deep breaths, new ideas.
I read again. I play piano. I dream.

And I keep creating.
Every stitch, every sketch, every color choice — comes from the heart. Inspired by freedom, beauty, movement… and the joy of being alive.

🙏 Thank You for Being Part of It

This path hasn’t always been easy — but it’s been real.
And I wouldn’t change a thing.
If you carry one of my bags, know this: you’re carrying a piece of this journey. Of me.

With love,
Radka 🤎
