Sometimes life surprises you in the most beautiful way.
Not long ago, I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Voice of Canada, where I shared my story — from my early beginnings to where I am today as the founder and heart behind Radka Sillerova Atelier.
The interview is no longer available online, but I’m happy to share a few thoughts with you here — from my heart to yours.
✨ From Passion to Purpose
In the interview, we talked about how it all began.
My journey didn’t start in glossy magazines or big fashion houses. It started with my own two hands, a strong will, and a deep love for creating.
Sewing for myself and my children was the beginning — and from there, step by step, I built my way into the world of design, entrepreneurship, and international fashion.
Creating my own brand was never just about making handbags.
It was about building something real, something that carries meaning, beauty, and responsibility.
🎒 Designing with Heart
One of the topics I shared was my design philosophy.
For me, fashion is not about trends. It’s about timeless pieces — bags and accessories that stay with you, grow with you, and become part of your story.
I design for women who want to feel elegant, free, and seen. For women who care about how things are made, and who value quality and intention.
🌱 Sustainable and Ethical – Always
I also spoke about how important sustainability and ethics are in my work.
My bags are handcrafted in Germany and the Czech Republic, using premium Italian leather. I work only with people I trust, and I believe in treating everyone with respect — from the suppliers to the customer who wears my bag.
No shortcuts. No exploitation. Just honest work, made with love.
💬 Looking Back, Moving Forward
Looking back during that interview reminded me how far I’ve come — and how grateful I am.
Building Radka Sillerova Atelier hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge taught me something valuable.
Today, I feel proud.
Not just of the brand I’ve built, but of the women I’ve met along the way, the messages I receive, and the fact that I get to create something authentic and beautiful — every single day.
The original interview may be offline, but my story is still unfolding.
And I can’t wait to see where it leads next.
With love,
Radka 🤍
